ABOUT ME
Rosarii Ryan BA, BSc, MIACP
BSc (Hons) Psychology. BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy
Welcome to my website, I hope by exploring some of the pages here you will get a sense of me and how I work. I strongly believe in the importance of a solid relationship between therapist and client, it is widely recognised as a key factor in the success of therapy and so I invite you to spend a little time in my world while asking yourself the question "is she the kind of person with whom I would feel comfortable sharing some of my world?"
I’m a warm, compassionate, welcoming and experienced therapist offering a non-judgmental, supportive and safe space where what is overwhelming becomes more manageable, hope is instilled and balance is found
I am an IACP accredited Psychotherapist & Counsellor and hold a BA (Hons) Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling and a BSc (Hons) Psychology.
I have rooms in Cork City and Cobh where I see adolecents (over 16) and adults.
I also run Emotional Wellbeing Courses in the workplace, Personal Development courses for adults and Adult Education courses in a number of Community Colleges in Cork
Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked in the fields of Sales and Marketing (RTE) and Community Fundraising (IHF). While working in RTE I began to study Psychology and started to gain insight into the roots of my own sense of dissatisfaction and unhappiness in life. The path I embarked on found me leaving the 'good job' and travelling for the next five years working as a Scuba Diving Instructor. My husband and I returned to Ireland in 2008 and soon after I began a 4 year degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
I am qualified to deal with a wide and varied range of problems and issues:
-
Anxiety
-
Panic Attacks
-
Depression
-
Bereavement
-
Work-place Stress
-
Self Esteem & Assertiveness
